ETNOWE Raises $300,000 Pre-Seed to Accelerate Culturally Focused Food & Grocery Delivery in the U.S.

ETNOWE, a U.S.-based food and grocery delivery platform serving African and Caribbean communities, has closed a $300,000 pre-seed funding round from a group of early backers.

The funding marks a key milestone for ETNOWE as it scales a platform built to connect diaspora consumers with culturally authentic restaurants and grocery stores, an underserved segment within the broader U.S. food delivery ecosystem.

Founded by Ebenezer Oyinlade, ETNOWE was created to address a clear gap in the market. While ethnic food and grocery businesses generate billions annually, much of the delivery infrastructure serving them is not designed for their unique needs. ETNOWE’s platform prioritizes cultural relevance, fair merchant economics, and accessible pricing for consumers.

Since launch, ETNOWE has demonstrated strong organic traction. Without any marketing spend or prior external funding, the platform has processed thousands of orders and validated sustained, revenue-generating demand driven by community adoption.

“This funding validates both the problem we’re solving and the way we’re solving it,” said Ebenezer Oyinlade, Founder and CEO of ETNOWE. “We’ve proven that when you build intentionally for culture and community, demand follows. This capital allows us to scale responsibly while staying true to our mission.”

The pre-seed capital will be used to expand ETNOWE’s user base, onboard additional restaurants and grocery stores, and strengthen its technology, growth, and operations teams over the next 12–18 months. ETNOWE plans to scale to 100,000 users and 200+ merchant partners ahead of a larger institutional funding round planned for 2027.

ETNOWE operates within the rapidly growing U.S. ethnic food and grocery market, estimated at $50 billion annually, and is positioning itself to capture a meaningful share by serving communities often overlooked by mainstream platforms.
